How does domestic violence affect children?

In a number of obvious ways and in some non-obvious ways, children take a lot of the domestic abuse personally and blame themselves. Therefore and thereby causing them having difficulty in future relationships, having difficulty with trust issues, and basically, having difficulty coping. Another sad fact is about one in three children who are abused will later in life become abusers themselves so the cycle continues to repeat itself. We take domestic abuse very seriously in our office, especially where it concerns kids. We handle a number of those cases, and the courts are very, very strong in trying to protect the children.
